Back-to-School Checklist
Hard to believe it’s about to start again…start prepping now :)
1. Refresh routines:
- Revisit bedtime & morning routines before the first day. 
- Create a weekly meal plan to ease weeknight stress. 
2. Organize study & creative spaces:
- Clear clutter from desks or dining tables that double as homework spots. 
- Stock up on school supplies now, before the late‑August rush. 
3. Sign up for something fun:
- Youth soccer leagues (AYSO San Diego & San Diego Surf) 
- Art classes at San Diego Art Institute or The Hot Spot Pottery 
- Music lessons at local studios like Bertrand’s Music or Villa Musica 
- Kids yoga & mindfulness workshops at local studios 
4. Set family goals for fall:
- Plan at least one family adventure or day trip (Julian apple picking or La Jolla tide pools). 
- Commit to a no‑phones dinner night each week. 
- Volunteer together — food bank, beach cleanup, or school PTA. 
Little resets like these help everyone head into the school year feeling balanced, connected, and excited for what’s ahead.
